Merkel Pressures Greece on Austerity to Unlock Aid

Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos plans today to discuss with the nation's political leaders the implementation of additional fiscal measures needed to secure a second European Union-led bailout. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in a joint interview last night with French President Nicolas Sarkozy that Greek aid hinges on the government adhering to the terms set down by international creditors.
