You see this story, about the stuntman who jumped out of a helicopter without a parachute – and lived? Gary Connery jumped out of a helicopter wearing nothing but a “wingsuit,” and landed safely, becoming the first person to do so (presumably, others have jumped out of helicopters with less success.)
Sound like a plan anybody else is adopting these days? Much like that stuntman, it seems like the eurocrats are jumping from an airplane without a parachute. After today’s “dinner” (funny how this went from being billed as a summit to a dinner) the eurocrats delivered the usual bland statement of joint purpose.
From the Dow Jones story by Matina Stevis:
“We look forward to the swift formation of a new government that will take ownership of the adjustment program and have a sufficient parliamentary majority to implement with determination the fiscal and structural reforms needed,” the draft said. “This is the best guarantee for a more prosperous future of Greece in the euro area.”More
