Greece looked set to remain in focus on Thursday after European officials said more steps were needed to meet deficit cutting targets, while debate continued over how policymakers should tackle the country's debt problems.

Bund futures edged 5 ticks higher at the open to 124.93, with trading ranges set to be limited ahead of the European Central Bank's meeting later in the day.

The EU, ECB and IMF mission to Greece said in a report obtained by Reuters on Wednesday that the next disbursement of Greek aid could not take place until it corrected the under-financing in its adjustment programme.[ID:nB4E7GU02C]

"It doesn't read very well at all... I can't see anything supportive in there for Greece," a trader said.
