Deals Cut the Price of Visiting Greece

Amid a fiscal crisis and workers' strikes, Greece is attempting to lure more tourists to the country with cut-rate hotel stays and lower tour prices.

Hotels and restaurants are likely less busy in Athens, where many of the strikes take place, said Karen Drake, a spokeswoman at TripAdvisor, a travel-advice website. Ms. Drake said the strikes are not dangerous, but could affect tourists' plans.

"The most important thing is to work in an alternate plan should something shift quickly," she said. "There are really great deals to be had."
