After the Guardian published a slideshow of Kanellos the Greek Protest Dog, he became famous around the world. And why not? Here was one dog, seemingly standing in solidarity with the protesters at every turn, unafraid of stampedes or a police baton. But he shouldn't hog all the fame. Newsweek points out there have been lots of dogs hanging out with the Greek protesters, and that's hardly something that just popped up recently. There are lots of stray dogs in Athens, and many look the same because the city gives them all the same collar so it can track them. In order to make sure that Kanellos isn't the only one who gets credit for his proletariat sensibilities, Newsweek publishes a slideshow of photographs depicting a number of dogs in the middle of protests.
