Greece plans to seek compensation from Siemens over the alleged bribery of local politicians and state officials by the German industrial, healthcare and energy conglomerate.
Haris Pamboukis, minister for investment, said on Tuesday Athens would continue a three-year-old probe into the charges, in spite of the completion this week of an investigation by an all-party parliamentary committee.
The investigation was undermined by disputes between the governing socialists and the conservative opposition, although both rejected a proposal to lift bank secrecy on political party accounts.
