Juncker: No Flexibility on Greek Deficit

Greece wouldn't be given any flexibility on its budget deficit targets for receiving the next tranche of its bailout from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, the head of euro-zone finance ministers, Jean-Claude Juncker, said Thursday.

Mr. Juncker said in an interview that Greece's privatization program was moving too slowly and that its political difficulties were "no excuse" for it failing to implement promised measures.

"I have the impression that things are not moving at the right speed—the results are not there," said Mr. Juncker, who is Luxembourg's prime minister. "I do understand the political difficulties the Greek government is facing are very serious, but that's not an argument to the outside world."
